School Counseling Program's Mission Statement
The mission of the Harrison Elementary School Counseling program is to provide equitable interventions tailored to the unique needs of every student. Services will be delivered in a manner that is developmentally appropriate and comprehensive to addressing the academic, social/emotional, and career needs of our students. Services are aligned with Iowa Common Core Standards as well as American School Counselor Association standards.

The vision of the Harrison Elementary School Counseling program is to help students find the intrinsic motivation to succeed in school and the desire to be life-long learners. Our program will be comprehensive, age-appropriate, preventative as well as responsive.
